Chloe's Wedding Day at the Vancouver Club

Chloe's dress journey. From her first appointment to two unforgettable looks in one day

The Bisou Bridal Journal

Our bride Chloe married at the Vancouver Club, a celebration as timeless and elegant as the setting. She wrote to us about the dress she almost didn't try, the joy of two looks in one day, and a few warm words for the brides still dreaming up their own.

Finding the Silhouette

Chloe walked into her appointment with a specific style in mind, a clear picture of the dress she thought she wanted. So when her stylist Erin suggested something a little different, her first instinct was hesitation. As Chloe put it, "My initial thought was, I don't think this is going to work."

Once she put on the gown Erin had selected for her, and everything changed. That is so often the quiet magic of trying gowns on. The dress you picture and the dress that takes your breath away aren't always the same, and Erin understood Chloe's vision so well that she found something even better than Chloe had imagined for herself.

“The moment I put it on, I instantly knew it was the one. It made me feel like the absolute best version of myself. It's hard to put that feeling into words, but trust me, brides, when you try on a dress and feel that way, you'll know.”

Saying Yes to the Dress

For Chloe, the yes came at her very first appointment. As soon as she shared the styles she loved, Erin pulled together a curated handful of options, and among them, Chloe found not one dress but two.

“Erin was incredibly professional and attentive. As soon as I shared the styles I was looking for, she quickly pulled together the perfect options. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.”

- Chloe

From there, “the whole experience felt like home” Chloe mentioned. Colleen was there through every fitting, warm and welcoming from the first hello, and the two of them would slip into Greek together as the gowns came to life. They made adjustments right up until the day before the wedding, both wanting the fit to be nothing short of perfect.

“Colleen made me feel completely at home. She was so warm every step of the way, and we'd chat in Greek during my fittings. We adjusted the dresses right up until the day before the wedding because we both wanted them to be perfect.”

Two Looks, One Day

One of Chloe's favourite parts of the day was having a second dress. It gave her the chance to shift her style as the night unfolded, one look for the ceremony and the moments that mattered, another to carry her into the celebration.

“It gave me the opportunity to switch up my style towards the end of the night and have two completely different looks. It was so much fun being able to have a different feel for each part of the celebration.”

Chloe’s Advice to Future Brides

When we asked Chloe what she'd want future brides to know, her answer came straight from the heart.

“Go with your gut. I didn't worry too much about what anyone else thought, and instead focused on how I felt in the dress. It's your day, and you should choose the dress that makes you feel the most confident.”

- Chloe

Chloe had one more gentle reminder, too: that the day itself moves quickly, and the small worries have a way of working themselves out, often more beautifully than you imagined.

“Try not to stress too much about the little things, because everything has a way of working itself out. At the end of the day, the people you love most are there to celebrate with you, and that's what truly matters.”

- Chloe

Our warmest congratulations to the newlyweds. Thank you, Chloe, for trusting us to be part of your story, and for reminding the Bisou brides still to come to go with their hearts.
