1. About These Terms and Your Consent

These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at https://bisoubridal.com/ (the "Site") and any services, bookings, purchases, or appointments made through it. The Site is operated by Bisou Bridal  ("Bisou Bridal," "we," "us," or "our"), located at 440 W 2nd Ave, Vancouver, British Columbia, V5Y 1E2.

By accessing, browsing, or using the Site, booking an appointment, or purchasing goods or services from us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Site. 

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect is the one posted on this page, with the "Last updated" date shown above. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility and Age Disclaimer

You must be at least the age of majority in British Columbia, which is 19 years of age, to make a purchase or enter into a binding agreement with us. By using the Site or purchasing from us, you represent and warrant that you are at least 19 years of age. If you are under the age of majority, you may use the Site or our services only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and accepts responsibility for your use. We do not knowingly enter into binding transactions with individuals under the age of majority without such guardian involvement.

3. Appointments and Bookings

Appointments for bridal consultations, fittings, and other services may be booked through the Site or by contacting us directly. When you book an appointment, you agree to provide accurate information and to arrive on time. 

3.1 Booking Fees and Deposits

Certain appointments may require a booking fee or deposit at the time of reservation. The amount, and whether it is refundable or applied toward a purchase, will be disclosed to you before you confirm your booking.

Our booking policies are as follows:

  • Booking fees for first appointments and trunk show appointments are non-refundable unless cancelled at least 48 hours before your appointment.

  • Booking fees for welcome gown consultation appointments are non-refundable unless cancelled at least two weeks before your appointment.

3.2 Cancellations and Rescheduling 

To cancel or reschedule, please use the link in your appointment confirmation email, provided by our Acuity Scheduling system, or contact us at 604-696-0880 or info@bisoubridal.com.

We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice for try-on, trunk show, and alterations appointments. For welcome gown consultation appointments, we require a minimum of 2 weeks' notice to cancel or reschedule. All deposits become non-refundable once the applicable cancellation period has passed.

If you are running late, our team will attempt to contact you using the details provided during your appointment booking, and will follow up by email to reschedule your appointment.

Deposits are non-refundable in the following cases:

  • Cancellations or reschedules made after the applicable notice period.

  • No-show appointments where you have not contacted our team in advance.

4. Orders, Products, and Pricing

We try to ensure that product descriptions, images, and prices on the Site are accurate and current. However, we do not warrant that descriptions, colours, or other content are error-free, complete, or current. Colours and details may vary from what appears on your screen due to display and technical limitations.

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are exclusive of applicable taxes and any delivery or alteration charges unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to change prices at any time before you place an order.

Placing an order or paying a deposit does not guarantee availability. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order. Where an ordered item is unavailable, we will contact you to arrange an alternative or a refund of amounts paid for that item.

5. Special Orders, Custom Gowns, and Alterations

Many bridal items are ordered specifically for you from a designer, made to order, or altered to your measurements. Because these items are prepared for you and cannot be resold, special terms apply.

5.1 Deposits and Payment

Special and made-to-order items require a non-refundable deposit of 60% of the total price at the time of order, with the remaining balance due upon the gown's arrival in-store, prior to collection. 

5.2 Non-Cancellable and Non-Refundable

At Bisou Bridal, every gown is a special order, made specifically for you because your dress is produced or customized to your unique specifications and measurements, it cannot be resold or returned once your order has been placed. To begin your order, a non-refundable deposit of 60% of the total price is required at the time of purchase. This deposit secures your gown and initiates production with the designer. The remaining balance is due upon your dress’s arrival in-store, prior to collection. Please choose with confidence and care, as all sales are final. Special orders, deposits, sample dresses, accessories, and sale merchandise are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, and orders cannot be cancelled or modified once placed. Our team is here to guide you through every step of the selection process to ensure you feel completely confident in your decision before your order is confirmed.

5.3 Timelines and Delivery Estimates

Production, delivery, and alteration timelines provided to you are estimates only. While we make reasonable efforts to meet them, we are not responsible for delays caused by designers, suppliers, shipping carriers, or events beyond our reasonable control. We strongly recommend ordering well in advance of your event date and confirming timelines with us directly.

5.4 Measurements and Sizing

Designers' size charts are used to recommend a size at the time of order; however, final sizing decisions rest with the customer. Because gowns are ordered according to standard designer measurements rather than custom-made to your exact dimensions, most gowns require some degree of alteration to achieve a perfect fit. Any alterations required, including those arising from a customer-selected size, are the responsibility of the customer and are charged separately from the cost of the gown. 

5.5 Alterations

Bisou Bridal is home to a dedicated in-house Alterations Atelier, located just behind our boutique, making the journey from your first fitting to your final one completely seamless. You are welcome to continue your alterations journey with us, or to have your alterations completed elsewhere, whichever you prefer. Our atelier also welcomes dresses purchased beyond our boutique, subject to availability.

Alterations are charged separately and are not included in the price of your gown. Most brides begin alterations approximately 8 to 12 weeks before the wedding date, though those with multiple outfits or a destination wedding may wish to begin earlier. On average, a gown requires between 9 and 15 hours of tailoring, at an estimated cost of $900 to $1,500.

Our current alterations rates are as follows:

Bisou Brides | $99 per hour: our standard rate for dresses purchased at our boutique.

Welcomed Dresses | $129 per hour: we are delighted to care for gowns purchased elsewhere.

Express | $149 per hour: for intimate timelines, with work completed within one week or less.

Please note that once a garment has been altered, it cannot be returned or exchanged.

6. Payment

We accept the payment methods indicated at checkout or in store. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method and that the information you provide is accurate. Payment card details are processed by our third-party payment processors in accordance with their own terms and privacy practices; we do not store full payment card numbers.

7. Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

All sales at Bisou Bridal are final. We do not offer returns, exchanges, or refunds on any items, including special orders, deposits, gowns, sample dresses, accessories, altered items, and sale merchandise.

Because each gown is ordered or made specifically for you, and altered items are modified to your individual measurements, these items cannot be resold or returned. We encourage you to make your selections with confidence and care, and our team is here to guide you through every step to ensure you feel completely certain before your order is confirmed.

By placing an order or making a purchase with Bisou Bridal, you acknowledge and agree that all sales are final.

8. Intellectual Property Notice

All content on the Site, including text, images, photographs, graphics, logos, page layout, and the Bisou Bridal name and marks is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Product names, designer names, and third-party trademarks that appear on the Site remain the property of their respective owners, and their appearance does not imply any ownership or endorsement by us.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to view and use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, republish, distribute, scrape, or use any content from the Site for commercial purposes without our prior written permission. Any unauthorized use immediately terminates this licence.

9. Acceptable Use of the Site

When using the Site, you agree that you will not: use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected systems; introduce viruses or other harmful or disruptive code; use any automated means (such as bots or scrapers) to access or copy content from the Site; or interfere with any other user's use and enjoyment of the Site.

10. Reviews and Submissions

If you submit a review, comment, photo, or other content to us or post it about us, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and display that content in connection with our business and marketing. You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

11. Third-Party Links and Affiliate Disclaimer

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, designers, social media pages, or services that we do not control. We provide these links for your convenience only and are not responsible for the content, products, availability, or practices of any third party. Your use of any third-party site is governed by that site's own terms and privacy policy.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Site and our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, linked here, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

13. Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties or representations, express or implied, about the Site, its content, or the availability of any product, and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law that cannot be excluded or limited.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bisou Bridal and its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages. Including loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site or our services, whether based on contract, tort, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Site will not exceed [STATE A CAP — e.g. the amount you paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim]. Nothing in this clause limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including the BC Sale of Goods Act and Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act. [This clause in particular should be reviewed by a BC lawyer — courts will not enforce a cap that overreaches on non-excludable consumer rights.]

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bisou Bridal and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site. 

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, except where applicable consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
