We can’t help but utter soft sighs (and the occasional “ooooh!”) when browsing through the new Spring 2015 collection from Watters. From delicate draping and vintage laces, to flirty skirts and dramatic beading, this is a dream collection for ultra feminine brides!
Traditionally working in gentle a-line and trumpet silhouettes, Watters accentuated the collection with a few dramatic fit-to-flare gowns. These styles make even more of a statement as they feature intricate embroidery and heavy beading, reminiscent of the Great Gatsby era. For a bride who loves the spotlight, they need look no further than the “Tara”, “Shaina” and “Isa” gowns!
The highlights from this collection are undeniably the soft and romantic, vintage-inspired styles the designer is known for. Watters embraced current trends, working with plunging necklines, open backs, and illusion details- bringing a modern twist to their classic aesthetic. (The “Mila”, “Arcelia” and “Aziza” gowns left us speechless!) And we loved the variety of lace seen in the 2015 collection! Lace patterns were unique and varied- to the point that no gown looks like “just another lace dress.” But perhaps our favourite gowns of the collection are “Kaliah”- a dreamy, ballerina inspired gown, featuring a plunging illusion neckline with delicate Swarovski crystal details; and “Lalai”- a draped a-line gown featuring a plunging illusion neckline and beaded embroidery on the bodice and hem. In ethereal tulle and accented by soft sparkle, these gowns are at once whimsical and sophisticated! For the most romantic and feminine of brides, this dress and the rest of the Spring 2015 Watters collection will be simply irresistible!
